Are we obeying the counsel of God?

Luke 7:30 But the Pharisees and lawyers rejected the will of God for themselves, not having been baptized by him.

Here we see the Pharisees and Lawyers rejecting the counsel of God to be baptized by John. Bible does not record it as a commandment to get baptized by John. But that was a counsel of God came via John the baptist. John who preached about repentance made it a point to baptize the people as a mark of acceptance of his message. Though the sinners accepted that message and were baptized the people in high places of worship in those days did not accept that.

In Tamil language Bible it adds an additional word saying they rejected God for their own bad.

Yes dearly beloved, we may not be doing anything against the commandments. But still may not be obeying His counsel. Are we aware of that ? Do we have the Holy Spirit telling us when we disobey His counsel. If yes first let us thank God for telling us our folly then let us turn back from that sin. Yes that is also a sin.

Sometimes it may be a challenge reversing that. But God gives us a way. I Peter 4:1,2 says : Therefore, since Christ suffered for us in the flesh, arm yourselves also with the same mind, for he who has suffered in the flesh has ceased from sin, that he no longer should live the rest of his time in the flesh for the lusts of men, but for the will of God.

Let us wear the mind of suffering that Jesus Christ himself had. We will be delivered from our carnal nature of disobedience.

நாம் கடவுளின் ஆலோசனைக்குக் கீழ்ப்படிகிறோமா?

லூக்கா 7:30. பரிசேயரும் நியாயசாஸ்திரிகளுமோ அவனாலே ஞானஸ்நானம் பெறாமல் தங்களுக்குக் கேடுண்டாக தேவனுடைய ஆலோசனையைத் தள்ளிவிட்டார்கள்.

இங்கே பரிசேயர்களும் நியாயசாஸ்திரிகளும் யோவானால் ஞானஸ்நானம் பெற வேண்டும் என்ற கடவுளின் ஆலோசனையை நிராகரிப்பதைக் காண்கிறோம். யோவானால் ஞானஸ்நானம் பெறுவது ஒரு கட்டளையாக பைபிள் அதை பதிவு செய்யவில்லை. ஆனால் அது யோவான் ஸ்நானகன் மூலம் வந்த கடவுளின் ஆலோசனை. மனந்திரும்புதலைப் பற்றிப் பிரசங்கித்த யோவான், தனது செய்தியை ஏற்றுக்கொள்வதற்கான அடையாளமாக மக்களுக்கு ஞானஸ்நானம் கொடுப்பதை ஒரு குறிக்கோளாகக் கொண்டார். பாவிகள் அந்தச் செய்தியை ஏற்றுக்கொண்டு ஞானஸ்நானம் பெற்றாலும், அந்தக் காலத்தில் வழிபாட்டுத் தலங்களில் இருந்த மக்கள் அதை ஏற்றுக்கொள்ளவில்லை.

தமிழ் மொழி பைபிளில், அவர்கள் தங்கள் சொந்த தீமைக்காக கடவுளை நிராகரித்தார்கள் என்று ஒரு கூடுதல் வார்த்தை சேர்க்கப்பட்டுள்ளது.

ஆம், அன்பானவர்களே, நாம் கட்டளைகளுக்கு எதிராக எதையும் செய்யாமல் இருக்கலாம். ஆனால் இன்னும் அவருடைய ஆலோசனைக்குக் கீழ்ப்படியாமல் இருக்கலாம். அதை நாம் அறிந்திருக்கிறோமா? நாம் அவருடைய ஆலோசனையை மீறும்போது பரிசுத்த ஆவி நமக்குச் சொல்கிறாரா? ஆம் என்றால், முதலில் நம் முட்டாள்தனத்தைச் சொன்னதற்காக கடவுளுக்கு நன்றி கூறுவோம், பின்னர் அந்த பாவத்திலிருந்து திரும்புவோம். ஆம் அதுவும் ஒரு பாவம்.

சில நேரங்களில் அதை மாற்றுவது ஒரு சவாலாக இருக்கலாம். ஆனால் கடவுள் நமக்கு ஒரு வழியைத் தருகிறார்.

2. ஏனென்றால் மாம்சத்தில் பாடுபடுகிறவன் இனி மாம்சத்திலிருக்கும் காலம்வரைக்கும் மனுஷருடைய இச்சைகளின்படி பிழைக்காமல் தேவனுடைய சித்தத்தின்படியே பிழைக்கத்தக்கதாகப் பாவங்களை விட்டோய்ந்திருப்பான்.

இயேசு கிறிஸ்துவுக்கு இருந்த பாடு படுகிற மனதை நாமும் அணிவோமாக. கீழ்ப்படியாமையின் சரீர இயல்பிலிருந்து நாம் விடுவிக்கப்படுவோம்.
