Are we seeking the pleasant Land?

Psalmist says in Psalms 106:24 Then they despised the pleasant land;
They did not believe His word, But complained in their tents,
And did not heed the voice of the Lord.
Many a times we tend to see the promised land or the pleasant land as Canaan of this world. But the Canaan of eternity is yet to come or the ones we have not seen so far. Even when we know it is of eternal land we do not give significant attention to that.
Dearly beloved in Christ, Bible warns us of losing traction of the pleasant land.
Many a times we lust after things of this world. I think we make serious mistakes there. Though it is not wrong to work towards getting things of this world, that may not be the only things that we need to look for. In fact that can only get the secondary focus when we really seek to inherit things of eternity.
Last few weeks God has been strongly moving in my heart to think through this. It only brings out my short comings. Yes, we all need to be clear about what we want. There is a word used in Tamil language Bible that says we despised the land which we should "lust after" . A strong word equivalent to "lust after" - "இச்சிக்கப்படத்தக்க" is used to depict the strong desire we should have over the promised land.
The same finds place in I Corinthians 10, Psalms 95, Hebrews 3 and in Hebrew 11, there is a mention of saints of God who had their heart set on a heavenly country ( Hebrews 11:6).
Yes dearly beloved we need to set our heart and mind on the heavenly country and not on the worldly things.
May the Lord Jesus Christ lead us in to all the truth.
