Do we understand what we read in Bible?

Luke 8:9 And his disciples asked him, saying, What might this parable be?

Many face this issue. Do not understand Bible. I have heard many saying this. We read the Bible but do not understand what it means.

This happened to many people who heard the word from the mouth of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. Are you surprised? The Bible says so.

In Luke 8 in Jesus talks about the parable of sower and the seeds. Not many in face none possibly understood that in first place. The following verses gives us that picture:

10 And he said, Unto you it is given to know the mysteries of the kingdom of God: but to others in parables; that seeing they might not see, and hearing they might not understand.

But one thing we see here, though the disciples did not understand they asked Jesus Christ about what it meant. That is the lesson for us. When we do not understand let us ask God to explain. But if we think we do not have time for that we end up in the losing side.

I remember the early days of my salvation, I could not get the meaning of the verses I read in Bible. But God helped me keep reading with thirst. At some point I began to understand the truth the inner meaning of it.

Yes dearly beloved, God fills the one who is thirsty.

May the Lord give us the understanding needed to know the word of God.

லூக்கா 8:9 அப்பொழுது அவருடைய சீஷர்கள், இந்த உவமையின் கருத்து என்னவென்று அவரிடத்தில் கேட்டார்கள்.

என் இரட்சிப்பின் ஆரம்ப நாட்களை நான் நினைவில் கொள்கிறேன், பைபிளில் நான் படித்த வசனங்களின் அர்த்தத்தை என்னால் பெற முடியவில்லை. ஆனால் தாகத்தோடு தொடர்ந்து படிக்க கடவுள் எனக்கு உதவினார். ஒரு கட்டத்தில் நான் உண்மையை அதன் உள் அர்த்தத்தைப் புரிந்துகொள்ள ஆரம்பித்தேன்.

ஆம், அன்பானவர்களே, தாகமாக இருப்பவரை கடவுள் நிரப்புகிறார்.
