Kingdom of God - a perspective

Luke 14:15 …Blessed is he that shall eat bread in the kingdom of God.

There was a person in the crowd where Jesus was, saying the above verse. When Jesus heard that He said a parable, though there was no mention of the word parable in the chapter I see it as a parable used by God to explain the kingdom of God, as there were similar parables in other Gospel books, we see a few of them in Matthew 13.

What is the significance of this parable?

Here there were people giving excuses to a person who was sent to invite them for a feast. But since the invitees were not accepting the invitation, people on the roadside were brought to the feast.

Finally it appears no one actually invited were part of the feast.14: 24.  For I say unto you, That none of those men which were bidden shall taste of my supper.

Scarry but true. Those who were originally called were not part of the feast. Does it imply, how will it be when we think about the kingdom of God. It appears to be so. Let us be very careful. Matthew 22:14 For many are called, but few are chosen.
