Yes grace and peace are multiplied when we have the knowledge of God. But what is meant by having the knowledge of God? In I John 2:3 And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments.4 He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.

Yes we need to keep his commandments to know Him. In John 17:3 says knowing him is eternal life.

Yes, having the knowledge of scripture is different from being able to walk according to that. But when we do that, we will enter in to eternity.
