Laws of Bible (Tamil translation attached)

God gave Moses the laws. According to that tooth for tooth, eye for eye were all common and accepted. Exodus 21:24 But today God (Lord Jesus Christ) says vengeance is mine; I will repay (Romans 12:19). Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good (Romans 12:21)

I was pondering over that. It was the spirit of God who were there then. Now also it is the spirit of God who reigns.

What is the difference? It is none but the Lord Jesus Christ's birth, death and resurrection itself that makes the difference.

The grace on those days were only given to Jews. So they were the people under the law. All others were not considered worth for His kingdom. There were exceptions; but they were only exceptions. Today all(the entire world) are brought under the grace (John 1:16) and the law of Spirit operates rather then laws given to Moses. Romans 8:2, Galatians 4:6,7.

Yes, dearly beloved in Christ we are so blessed to have grace though our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. Let us lean on that. Grow in that. And reach Him when we close our eyes in this world or if we are taken home by Jesus Christ when he returns to this earth.
