My help cometh from the Lord.

You pushed me violently, that I might fall, But the Lord helped me. Psalm 118:13

Yes, the psalmist talks about the opposition that he had from the enemy. But he quotes that the Lord helped him.

Dearly beloved in Christ, we are also pushed back to make us fall. But the Lord our God Jesus Christ helps us from falling. He lifts us up every time we are about to fall. Sometimes we may even face difficult conditions that make us think if we are still standing.

Many times, we tend to curse us when we think about the mistakes we commit. We tend to blame our weaknesses for our mistakes. Or we may even blame someone else for our mistakes. But are we looking at the Lord lifting our eyes upon him seeking help.

David relied heavily on the shoulders of God, in Psalm 123:2 he makes that clear. Hebrews 4:15,16 says, For we do not have a high priest who is unable to empathize with our weaknesses, but we have one who has been tempted in every way, just as we are—yet he did not sin.

Let us then approach God’s throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.

Yes dearly beloved we have our God Lord Jesus Christ helping us to recover what we lost because of the enemies plans against us. We will win through him. Colossians 3;3,4 says, For you died, and your life is now hidden with Christ in God. When Christ, who is your life, appears, then you also will appear with him in glory.

Yes we have already won. It is a matter of us claiming the victory through Him.

Let's be confident, the victorious and risen Lord is with us to help us. Let us pray read the word of God run our race successfully as He has shown us how. Hebrews 12:1 says, Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us.

God bless you
