Overcoming Life

Many a times we fall short in our lives while trying to lead an overcoming life. But God definitely wants us to do overcome. Have we ever tried to find out why we are not able to lead an overcoming life. If you look deeper many times we respond to the calls of the flesh and go against the will of God. Many times the call of the flesh is triggered by satan, the evil one.

How do I know that? If you see the life of David, the Bible clearly says the devil instigated him to number Israel that was against he will of God. He got into trouble because of that. It is said in the book of John that devil instigated Judas, the Iscariot to betray Jesus Christ. If you read in I Corinthians 7, Paul warns us of the devil which may instigate the husband and wife to sin if they part for long. In Job, God himself says to the devil that he compelled Him to let Job for trials.

Dearly beloved in Christ, how certain are we that the failures on our lives are not because of the devil. If so, what are we doing to overcome the devil in our lives. Bible says to stand against the devil to overcome him. How will we fight the devil? It is through fasting, prayer and the word of God.

May the Lord give us the strength to win the devil with the grace of God and lead an overcoming life.
