Where are we in our journey?

May be the question is what journey are we in? It is the journey towards the promised land/pleasant land/eternity.
Many a times we feel unsure about where we are. David was clear about where he was. So he begs the Lord to have mercy upon him.
Yes, dearly beloved in Christ we all have to be perfected in our journey towards eternity. Yet few acknowledge the same. David was bold and honest in doing so. He goes one step further and confides to the Lord his position as it was like the sins of his forefathers.
Yes some of us understand our follies but do we say that was like the ones of the Israelites in the wilderness. May be it is hard for some of us to understand this truth. Let me explain that a bit here. In Psalm 106, when we read here from 7th verse to 24, we could understand what kind of sins they committed.
They were happy to rejoice in the Lord and sing, dance and had expressed their hope, faith and joy (Exodus 15) when the Lord God destroyed their enemies in red sea. But soon they forgot all that, had lust, murmured against God and tested Him.
Yes some of us might say that we knew this already, True aren't we like this many a times.
Lust after unwanted things of this world and deny Him in our actions. Hebrews 6:6 says ...they crucify again for themselves the Son of God, and put Him to an open shame
Yes dearly beloved, like what David says,
in Psalms 106 : 4 Remember me, O Lord, with the favor You have toward Your people.Oh, visit me with Your salvation,5 That I may see the benefit of Your chosen ones, That I may rejoice in the gladness of Your nation, That I may glory with Your inheritance.6. We have sinned with our fathers, We have committed iniquity, We have done wickedly.
Lets call upon the Lord express ourselves honestly, just as we are, and seek His face for mercy. Surely mercy and goodness shall follow us.
May the name of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ be exalted,
